OVN Meeting
Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at 7 p.m. Vienna Lions Community Centre, 26 Fulton St.
Gregor Beck will speak about Birds Canada’s Northern Science for Conservation Program, highlighting their work with Indigenous communities. He will also show how migrating songbirds link the North to our region.
Gregor is a wildlife biologist and conservation professional with over 25 years of experience in the environmental field. He has worked on conservation, wildlife research, and educational programs throughout his career, and written publications on a diversity of topics – from birds and reptiles to native plants and watershed ecology. He has directed projects for Ontario Nature, the Long Point Basin Land Trust, and has also served in a number of senior roles at Birds Canada.
Two days later is the
Birds Canada Birdathon Celebration – Saturday, May 16. Joe Stephenson is organizing an OVN group. If you wish to participate as a team member and/or a sponsor, please contact Joe.
